Ingredients
- Self-raising flour — 120g
- Greek yoghurt — 130g, low-fat
- Baking powder — 1.5 tsp
- Salt — a pinch
- Garlic powder — a pinch
- Garlic — 1 tsp, minced (or 1 small fresh clove)
- Parsley — a pinch of dried flakes
- Low-fat cheese — 15g per naan, grated
- Cooking oil spray — light, for the pan (optional if using non-stick)
Directions
- 1
Mix the flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt and garlic powder together in a bowl.
- 2
Add the Greek yoghurt and minced garlic, then stir until the mixture starts to look crumbly. Switch to your hands and knead until a smooth dough forms.
- 3
On a lightly floured surface, divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll one portion out as thin as you can into an oval shape.
- 4
Place 15g of cheese in the centre, then fold and pinch the edges of the dough tightly over the cheese to seal it in. Flip it seam-side down and gently roll it out again into a naan shape — take your time so the dough doesn't tear.
- 5
Repeat with the remaining three pieces.
- 6
Heat a pan over high heat and spray with cooking oil. Cook each naan for 1–2 minutes per side until both sides are golden brown. Serve warm with a sprinkle of parsley flakes.
